Theatre lovers in London are spoilt for choice. At any one time, there are hundreds of shows to choose from, at scores of venues across the capital. The most famous ones are found in the West End, like the London Palladium, the Lyceum and the Prince of Wales. They have huge auditoriums, traditionally decorated in red velvet and gold leaf, and often dating back to the 19th or early 20th century. They focus on popular, crowd-pleasing productions – mainly musicals, but some plays as well. These are big-budget shows with flashy sets, fancy costumes and famous names in the lead roles. On Theatres.TV we have listed 14 of these shows along with critics reviews, theatre info, seating plans and videos.
